Can't I just uninstall it when an urge hits?
You can — it's your device and your recovery, and we won't pretend otherwise. But removal is slowed and deliberate: a cool-down stands between the impulse and the uninstall, and your accountability ally is alerted. Most urges pass faster than the friction does.
Does my data leave my phone?
No. Blocking decisions, AI vision, and your history all run and stay on-device. The only things that ever touch a server are optional: accountability alerts you set up yourself, and Google Play billing. Screen frames and browsing patterns are never uploaded.

How does AI Vision work?
A compact TensorFlow Lite model runs on your phone and classifies what's on screen in real time. When it detects explicit content, the screen is covered instantly. No cloud, no uploads — the model, the frames, and the decisions never leave your device.
Will it break normal browsing and apps?
No. Messaging, work apps, and ordinary sites keep working. The shield targets adult content — you choose the strictness, add your own blocklist entries, and can optionally switch off just the slot-machine feeds like Reels and Shorts while everything else stays on.
Is Detox AI a medical treatment?
No. Detox AI is a self-control and accountability tool. Its self-reflection scores are for personal awareness, not diagnosis. It is not a medical device and doesn't replace professional care — if you're struggling, talking to a qualified professional is a real and worthwhile step.
